Solana Beach Resort was the best had, loved the buffet food, had so much fun, and played games well-rested, and the beach and pools were so refreshing.

Week long Family vacation

Wow. What an experience! We spend just over a week at Long Beach Hotel, Mauritius. With this being our first visit to island, we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and in particular the staff who were at all times kind, willing to help and super pleasant indeed and very friendly and pleasant. Special mention must go to our reception friend Rajesh, Pool Manager (Muddoo), Akki, our favourite chefs Sailesh and Rita (thanks for all those special dishes you suprised my family with), Le Marche’ restaurant staff (Jenny, Marie Noelle, Smita, Vada, Samia, Melisa, Celine, the list is long) who every morning and evening greeted us with her beautiful smiles and kept our tea cups (Ille Maurice) filled to the brim and the never ending ice tea peach cold drinks. We ended up spend an extra day at the hotel as it was really difficult to leave this beautiful place. We will definitely be back soon. Thanks to you all from the bottom of our hearts, Mack, Shamiema, Jameelah & Jamaal Maleka from South Africa.

It has been an amazing experience dealing with you all at WLH, you handled our booking with such grace, enthusiasm, and professionalism and for that I am so grateful.

I had no expectation of Long Beach and I was truly blown away – what an amazing resort.

The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and well equipped and the bathrooms are lovely. The restaurants are spectacular – they all went above and beyond and the food and service are of an outstanding standard. The pool area is delightful and the beach superb! Well done LONG BEACH!

Our guys played golf almost daily and were also blown away by the standard as well as the service of the courses.

You really have an amazing product so sell it with great pride.

Sugar Beach: The sweetest experience!

I recently joined a larger group from Kyknet, Diepe Waters and Starburst Promotions for a 7-day holiday. We booked into Sugar Beach and thoroughly enjoyed its facilities! I can’t remember when last I was so relaxed, knowing that the WLH team had taken care of every small and big detail that makes for a perfect trip on my behalf. The hotel was a 5 star experience and every second on the island was quite magical. I cannot recommend WLH enough! A special thank you to Edna who went the extra mile. I have only one question: When are we going again?!

Ek het onlangs saam met ‘n vriendin en groter groep van KykNet, Diepe Waters en Starburst Promotions weggebreek. Ons het Sugar Beach besoek en dit was wonderlik! Ek het lanklaas so lekker ontspan, wetende dat die span van WLH aan elke liewe klein en groot reëling gedink het namens my. Die 5 ster hotel was ‘n belewenis en elke minuut op daardie eiland was magies. Ek kan WLH nie geneog aanbeveel nie. ‘n Spesiale dankie aan Edna wat besonders baie moeite gedoen het. My enigste vraag: Wanneer gaan ons weer?!

RESTFUL, REJUVENATING AND RELAXING TIME AT SUGAR BEACH MAURITIUS

My family – husband and two children (19 and 22) just returned from a magic week at Sugar Beach.

It was our first beach holiday and I didn’t really know what to expect. All I knew was that I needed to pack beach gear and books.

Sugar Beach is about an hour away from the airport – it’s a beautiful drive as you wind through sugar-cane fields, a few narrow streets and pass by new housing developments.

Please see my review below, broken down into different areas:

STAFF:
Friendly, courteous – this is a well-trained team which not only understands their brand values but live it too! Nothing was too much trouble. Shamilla who cleaned our room daily has a heart of gold together with Fazle, one of the waiters at the beach. Always smiling, ready to assist. And, I never got the feeling that they were doing it for tips – in fact, both Shamilla and Fazle asked that we post about our experience so that more travellers could experience their resort.

THE ROOMS:
I felt myself beginning to relax the minute I stepped into our room – we had two interleading rooms. Clean. Neat. Practical. Our unit was sea-facing, which was a whole other bonus. My one regret is that I hadn’t packed my Epsom Salts for a soak in that beautiful tub. I still have the sound of the sea crashing, in my ears. I’ll go back, in my memory to this on nights when I’m tossing and turning at home in Johannesburg.

THE RESTAURANTS:
LA PATIO – buffet breakfast and dinners. Everything you could possibly want. And more. Much, much more. Everything from fruit, freshly squeezed juices (you choose the fruit and a chef does the rest), continental, hot breakfast with bacon, sausages, eggs, pastries, crepes … you get the picture. Friday dinner was a highlight – Indian themed, I had some of the best chicken tikka masala and jelebi.

BUDDHA BAR:
Good tip – the minute you get to Sugar Beach – please book your dinners here. There is normally a waiting list. We had dinner here twice and it’s really worth the time. With the All Inclusive package – you get to choose from a pared down menu – but still great options. If you want to order from their normal menu, then you can set your rs900 per person against your order.

CITRONELLA:
Really enjoyed our meals here. Stand-out pasta, fish and … special mention must go to the beef carpaccio – which I had more than thrice. Please ask for their chilli relish – it’s at all the restaurants – for some extra zing!

POOL AND BEACH MENU:
The one thing you will not be short of, with the All Inclusive package is FOOD. Cocktails … you think of it and it’s there. The menu is also pretty extensive – special mention of the Dim Sum. And please say hi to Fazle from Devi.

GOLF:
Free hourly shuttles are available from Sugar Beach to Tamarina Golf Club. My daughter went almost every day. As far as I understand it – golf is free.

ACTIVITIES:
There is a lot to do. And, if you’re like me who isn’t so comfortable with the idea of lying around, stuffing your face, then you could easily take a walk on the extensive grounds, with include La Pirogue (the neighbouring resort). There is also daily yoga, zumba, water aerobics, dance classes and a full gym. There really is not excuse.

TAXI’S:
Ask at the front desk for the taxi tariff – you could travel anywhere you need to and not worry about being ripped off. We took a three hour trip to the capital Port Louis and saw The Citadel and Market near the waterfront – well worth the time.

REST:
My best time was spent on the beach. Reading. Sleeping. Cocktailing my time. There is really something very magical about this resort. I arrived feeling rushed and left feeling calm and so relaxed. May this feeling last … I will definitely return. Hopefully within the year! Highly recommended. Great family bonding time. Pure magic!

Food and entertainment

I had an opportunity to visit Long Beach Resort and the food was amazing and the service service impeccable with a choice of 5 restaurant , the adult only people was quite and very tranquil exactly after a hectic work schedule. Refreshing also was the Piazza – an entertainment area where the nights are always vibrant and exhilarating ! I would definitely go back.

Mauritius 2022

Dear WLH team,

I want to thank you for making my families dreams come true post covid-19.
We were booked to travel on 1 May 2020 when Covid forced us into log down in March 2020.
All along my funds was kept safe in house at WLH.

We managed to travel to Mauritius from 12 -22 March 2022 and it was in one word FANTASTIC.
Everything went according to plan even although we had a bumpy start with our local travel agent who represented us at WLH.

I want to thank you and your team for your patience and assistance in getting our dream came true.
Going forward I will AGAIN book with WLH DIRECTLY, no local travel agents for me again thank you very much.
